Vistas, One year on
One year has passed since Nuria and I embarked on our Vistas journey.
We are now firmly focused on our niche of Golang roles and have enjoyed immensely being able to support many companies, large and small, established and embryonic, across Europe and beyond in their search for talented Gophers. We are proud of the part we have played in helping them get closer to achieving their vision.

Likewise, it's been great to meet and connect with so many Gophers around the world. Their appetite for Go is tremendous and it's so energising to hear people talk so passionately about it. Within the Golang community there are many engineers lucky enough to be using Go commercially and there are many more pursuing their interests in personal projects with the view to making a move to a Go-related role in the future. Our network of Gophers has grown tremendously in our first year, and will continue to grow. Remote or Onsite, permanent or contract, we have been able to help all variants of Gopher take a step towards achieving their vision.

The next 12 months promise to be very exciting for Vistas. We are proud to be a sponsor of the GolangUK Conference in August 2016 where we look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
The demand for Golang is increasing month on month. In our experience almost every start-up aiming to do anything at scale is placing Go firmly in their stack, while established companies are migrating towards it. Therefore we are looking forward to sharpening our focus, increasing our reach and becoming the recruiter of choice for Golang.
